Dr. Hoffman will assume primary responsiblity for growing and expanding the Interventional Radiology services at UCLA-Santa Monica Hospital. She will serve a wide variety of patients and bring awareness of the available interventional procedures to the forefront. Dr. Hoffman has a record of building strong interventional radiology programs in the Los Angeles area and she will use her expertise to build the program at UCLA.
As an interventional radiologist, she performs minimally invasive procedures that use multiple imaging machines including CT, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy and MR. She is well-versed in all aspects of traditional and modern state-of-the-art procedures such as arterial angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, thrombolysis and venous laser therapy and sclerotherapy. Other areas of interest include kyphoplasty of osteoporotic bones and malignant lesions, biopsy of multiple organ systems, abscess drainages, radiofrequency ablation, chemoembolization, uterine artery embolization, and renal and biliary interventions including drainage tube placement and stenting.
There are new clinic rooms, office space, and two angio rooms available for a complete interventional service. She would like the community to know that there is now a fully functioning contemporary interventional radiology service at UCLA-Santa Monica Hospital.
by using communication vehicles such as the internet, paper media and personal one on one communication. She would like the community to know that multiple services are now available.
