Dr. Vinuela Received Awards & Recognitions in Uruguay
Dr. Fernando Vinuela received numerous awards and recognitions in Uruguay this summer. He was invited to a national convention on Acute Cerebral Stroke held in Sheraton Hotel in Montevideo, the capital city of Uruguay, on August 18th, 2008. Before the beginning of the conference, there was a special ceremony involving the President of Uruguay (Dr. Tabare Vazquez) , the Mayor of Montevideo, and the Dean of School of Medicine of Montevideo. In this ceremony, Dr. Vinuela received the following awards and recognitions.

presented by the President Of Uruguay.
This ceremony was followed by several scientific presentations on Acute Cerebral Stroke delivered by Dr Teresa Lin (interventional neuroradiologist from Montevieo), Dr. Pedro Lylylk (Interventional neuroradiologist from Buenos Aires, Argentina) and Dr. Vinuela.
On August 19th, Dr. Vinuela traveled to the capital city of the State of Soriano, Mercedes, where he was born and had practiced medicine for 4 years before coming to North America. That night in an open popular forum, Dr. Vinuela met old teachers and friends who he had not seen for more than 30 years. In that very friendly and emotional atmosphere, Dr. Vinuela received two more recognitions:
