As the Director of the Clinical Image Processing Laboratory, Dr. Villablanca's current research focus is the identification and evaluation of new imaging tools that can be used to enhance the diagnosis, characterization and management of neurovascular diseases, with an emphasis on medical impact and treatment management decisions. This includes existing and emerging techniques in computed tomography angiography and perfusion, and 3T magnetic resonance contrast-enhanced time-resolved angiography and cerebral perfusion.
