Current Research Projects

Development and Validation of MRI Techniques for Cardiovascular and Cardiopulmonary Imaging
Applications of MRI for Anatomic and Functional Imaging in Congenital Heart Disease
Cardiovascular MR Imaging at 3.0T
Development and Applications of MRI Scanning by Remote Control
We have demonstrated how specialist MRI scanning support via remote control can be provided from a geographically distant hub.
Cardiac MRI Core Laboratory
DETERMINE Trial

(Defibrillators To Reduce Risk by Magnetic Resonance Imaging Evaluation)
Multicenter trial to define the role of MRI in patients with ischemic heart failure to predict what patients will benefit from treatment with implantable cardiac defibrillators (ICD). Up to 10,000 MRI studies will be analyzed in the UCLA core laboratory for quantification of myocardial infarct size and evaluation of functional left ventricular parameters.
